The Choir deeply regrets the passing of Mr. Ian Butler, an Honorary Friend of The Choir. Ian, in his capacity as Chairman of The Sir Joshua Reynolds Centre, was a strong champion and supporter of The Choir - something which continued after the closure of The Centre. His tireless work for the local community will long be remembered. Our thoughts are with his family at this time

Some interesting facts.
Our most recent programme - 'The Best Things in life are Free', presented as the opening event of The Plympton St. Maurice Summer Festival at Plympton St. Maurice Church on the 19th June 2009, has enabled the Civic Association to donate, on our behalf, the grand sum of £340.00 to Shelterbox, which has been linked to Box No. 36074, assisiting those made homeless by the recent earthquake in Java.
Re Olivet to Calvary 4th April 2009 Message: Feedback from Crownhill Concert -'a very professional choir' 'very smartly dressed' 'evidence of thorough practices' 'a very moving start to Holy Week' 'OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE!! One of our 'compilation' programmes entitled 'War & Peace', given in April 2008, with the help of Sherwell United Church, Plymouth, in aid of Shelterbox, enabled them to send two boxes to Inaruwa, S.E.Nepal. after the recent flooding. Another of our compilations, (somewhat lighter in content), 'Rhythm of Life' was performed in June 2008 at Compton Methodist Church, Plymouth, in conjunction with The South Dartmoor Riding for the Disabled. This very worthy cause benefited by a sum in excess of £257.00
As a result of our presentation of 'The Armed Man' we were able to donate £250.00 to The Mustard Tree MacMillan Centre at Derriford Hospital.
